From 2026: kWh records instead of flat rates
Following the BMF letter of 11 Nov 2025, flat-rate reimbursements for home charging in Germany are to be replaced from 2026 by records of the electricity actually charged – for example via the wallbox meter, vehicle logs or an app. MeruX documents the kWh per session automatically.

In the app: open the menu on the home screen, tap Settings, then Delete account — it takes effect immediately. If you no longer have MeruX installed, you can delete it on the web: sign in with the same method you use in the app, then confirm the deletion. Either way, you can restore it within 30 days by signing in to the app.
